New York refuses to cancel its Times Square New Years Eve

The city is not going to give up its party par excellence, which makes New York the center of attention on the last night of each year.
15,000 people will gather, all compulsorily vaccinated and wearing a mask to welcome 2022.
Bill de Blasio, Mayor of New York affirmed: “A big celebration and with all the force is returning to New York”.
“We applaud Mayor de Blasio’s leadership in finding a way to welcome holidaymakers to Times Square on New Year’s Eve in an even safer manner than initially envisioned,” said Tom Harris, President of the Times Square Alliance.
